Obituary for Emma Biolchini

Emma Biolchini, 95 of Oglesby died at 11:48 p.m. June 4, 2019 in her home.

A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Church, Oglesby. The very Rev. Gary Blake will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, LaSalle.

Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Friday in the Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby.

Emma was born February 24, 1924 in Cedar Point to Virgilio and Maria (Guerrini) Ricci. She married John Biolchini December 30, 1995 in Holy Family Church, Oglesby. He died January 14, 2016.

Emma was a member of the L-P graduating class of 1942.

She was employed by National Sheet and Metal, Peru until she moved to California in 1957 and was employed as an executive secretary at Rockwell International until her retirement.

Emma was a member of Holy Family Church. She was past treasurer for the Altar and Rosary Society, treasurer of the Oglesby Elks, and a board member of the Dickinson Foundation

She is survived by a sister Anne Biolchini of Oglesby, a step-daughter Mary (Dave) Kohr of Oglesby, a step daughter-in-law, Janet Biolchini of Peru, nieces and nephews; Bernadette (John) Miller of Moline, Rita (Bruce) Renwick of Joliet, Robert (Peggy) Biolchini of Findlay, OH, Mary Lou Bartoli of Wenona, Gloria (Jon) Duvall of Chillicothe, Mark Ricci of Waterford, MI and Michael (Kanika) Ricci of Royal Oak, MI, 6 step-grandchildren; Karen (Rich) Rivara, Jeff (Alyssa) Biolchini, Chad (Cathy) Groleau, Andy (Brandy) Groleau, Chris (Kathy) Kohr and Dusty (Mandi) Kohr, 16 great-nieces and nephews and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

The family thanks Illinois Valley Hospice and her loving caregiver, Elzbieta.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, a sister Clara Bartoli, a brother Joseph Ricci a stepson John “Jim” Biolchini, and nephews Dr. Charles Bartoli and Gary Ricci.
